A rich luxurious red-brown colour. 18-20 micron. 100g. **Please note that alpaca fibre absorbs and releases moisture. Therefore the weight of the rovings batt can vary at different times of the year. The mill wound them into 100g batts at the time of processing. Weight is approximate.

Stainless Steel Rovings

Here’s something different! Spinable and feltable rovings made out of stainless steel. Can be spun into yarn to be used for jewelry or as embellishments in felting or spinning. Being a conductive metal, it can be carded with your normal fibre when spinning yarn to make gloves (either entire glove, or just thumb and forefinger tips) which can be used with touch screens (phones, tablets, etc) without taking them off. How brilliant is that!

Stainless steel yarn for plying or to upgrade existing gloves into conductive gloves is also available. (see under Yarn in the store).
