Description
Hand-dyed in the magenta and orange colours of the cliffs in the Kimberley, Western Australia. Natural dyes (cochineal and madder) with an alum mordant.
This bulky commercially processed yarn has been made from local huacaya and suri alpaca and superfine merino. The full production process, from scouring to spinning was also undertaken locally on a small run basis. This yarn is super soft, lofty and has a luxuriant feel. It knits up quickly and has a lovely weight in the finished garment. Examples of finished garments from this yarn can be found in the Fashion section of the store. A beanie uses 100g, a scarf approximately 200g and the poncho 600g.
20 ply. Skeins 200g.
